Disney's The Jungle Book KIDS

OCT Summer Children's Theatre presents Theatre Camp!

Show Logo

Banished by the ferocious tiger, Shere Khan, a human boy named Mowgli and his panther friend, Bagheera, are on the run in the deepest parts of the jungle. On their journey, the two meet a sinister snake named Kaa, a herd of elephants and a giant bear named Baloo, who teaches them the swingin' musical rhythms of the jungle. After surviving a dangerous encounter with a band of monkeys led by King Louie, Mowgli and Bagheera are forced to run for their lives. When Shere Khan returns, our heroes must rally their fellow animals into battle and restore peace throughout the jungle.

Disney's The Jungle Book KIDS features a host of colorful characters and your favorite songs from the animated movie we all love, such as "Bare Necessities", Colonel Hathi’s "March of the Elephants" and King Louie's "I Wanna Be Like You".

Students who have completed 2nd grade - 8th grade are eligible.

There will be two sessions, each producing the same show, Jungle Book Kids. One session will run in the mornings, 8:30 a.m. - noon, and a second session will run in the afternoons, 1:00 - 4:30 p.m.

Students must commit to the morning session or the afternoon session before auditioning.

Camp runs July 5th - 9th and 12th - 16th. Children are asked to attend all scheduled rehearsals because of the short time frame.

The morning session will perform on Saturday, July 17th, and the afternoon session will perform on Sunday, July 18th.

There will be a limit of 30 students in each section, and because of the limited numbers, preference will be given to Oregon residents. Non-Oregon residents who are alumni of previous summer shows are eligible to participate. If the spaces are not filled by auditions, the list will be opened up.

The date for the morning session auditions will be Tuesday, June 22nd. The date for the afternoon session auditions will be Wednesday, June 23rd. Callbacks for both will be Thursday, June 24th.

For more information about audition details and sign-ups, keep an eye on our OCT Kids Show Facebook page, or contact the director, Beth Giller, at 419-699-3442.
