Actors will need to complete an audition form and can provide a current resume and headshot.
Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your audition slot to sign in.
You can save time by completing an Audition Form beforehand.
Actors will be asked to sing a song from the show and prepare a one-minute monologue in the style of the character you're auditioning for.
At this time, there will be no accompanist. Actors should provide their own music and a speaker will be provided.

A huge thank you goes out to the 23 talented actors who auditioned for Noises Off. It was great to see both OCT veterans and many new faces coming out to be a part of the show. Special thanks to Roxie Mlynek for your gracious smile, as our audition greeter. Actors, thank you for bringing your best and pushing each other to new comic heights. Unfortunately, we could only cast 9 of you.
We encourage you to audition for Escape to Margaritaville in the spring. We appreciate you sharing your time and talent with us and OCT. We hope to work with you in the future.

FEMALE CHARACTERS
- Dotty Otley/Mrs. Clacket:
- (Off stage Dotty) A late-middle-aged American actress. Forgetful. Dating Garry, though she attempts to make him jealous by meeting with Freddy.
- (On Stage Character: Mrs. Clackett): A Cockney Housekeeper for the Brent's home in England. Hospitable, though slow.

- Brooke Ashton/Vicki:
- (Off Stage: Brooke) A young inexperienced American actress. Pays no attention to other performers, either in performance or backstage. She seems as though she is not really present – like she is somewhere else inside her head. Is always losing her contact lenses. One-third of a Lloyd–Poppy–Brooke love triangle.
- (On Stage Character: Vicki): An English woman who works for Inland Revenue and is trying to woo Roger.

- Belinda Blair/Flavia Brent:
- (Off stage Belinda) Cheerful and sensible, a reliable American actress. She may have feelings for Freddy.
- (On Stage Character: Flavia Brent): Phillip Brent's English wife. She is dependable, though not one for household duties.

- American Stage Manager. Emotional and over-sensitive, and envious of Brooke, whom she understudies. Carrying Lloyd's child. One-third of a Lloyd-Poppy-Brooke love triangle.

- Lloyd Dallas:
- The director of the play, Nothing On. Temperamental. One third of a Lloyd–Poppy–Brooke love triangle.

- Garry Lejeune/Roger:
- (Off stage: Garry) An American actor who never finishes a sentence. Always is completing sentences with, "you know..." Easily fired up, repeatedly tries to attack Freddy after believing that Dotty was cheating on him with Freddy. Speech affectations disappear onstage but are everpresent offstage. Dating Dotty.
- (On Stage Character: Roger): An English Real estate agent who is attempting to rent Flavia's and Phillip's home, but uses it for his own personal benefit.

- Frederick Fellows/Phillip Brent/Sheikh:
- (Off stage: Freddy) An American actor with a serious fear of violence and blood. Gets nosebleeds easily. Often questions the meaning of his lines and moves. Blames himself often for things going wrong.
- (On Stage Character: Phillip Brent): An Englishman who lives out of the country with his wife Flavia to avoid paying taxes. He enters the country knowing that if he is caught by Inland Revenue, he will lose most of the year's income. (On Stage Character: Sheikh): A Middle-Eastern, Interested in renting Flavia's and Phillip's home and is the spitting image of Phillip.

- Selsdon Mowbray/Burglar:
- (Off Stage: Selsdon Mowbray): An elderly alcoholic Englishman who hides his bottles onstage. If he is not in sight while rehearsing, the stage crew must find him before he passes out. Is hard of hearing when he wants to be.
- (On Stage Character: Burglar): Old Cockney man in his seventies, breaking into the Brent's home.

- An over-worked American Assistant Stage Manager. Understudies Selsdon and Freddy.

We are still in need of a few actors to fill in our cast, specifically, an African American man and woman would be very helpful. Other background/chorus parts are available, and will include some lines. Anyone interested in auditioning for a role can let us know by emailing us at oct.info@sbcglobal.net.
Auditioners are asked to sing a song from the show (an accompanist or accompany track will be provided). Or they can sing a song of their choice (a Buffett song would be preferred) please bring sheet music (an accompanist will be provided) or a recorded track.
A dance/movement audition is required. Please dress comfortably.

FEMALE CHARACTERS
- Rachel: (Ideally 25-35 years old)
- Fully committed to her job and helping the world. Willing to put in as many hours of hard work as it takes and expects everyone else to do that same. Suspicious of fools and operators, Rachel is not easily distracted from her life plan.
- Tammy: (Ideally 25-35 years old)
- Loyal friend to Rachel. Sees the best in people and has a zest for life that is often squelched by her fiance, Chad. Her low self-esteem manifests itself as denial in her own life.
- Marley:(African American; 35-50 years old, able to use an island (Jamaican) accent)
- No-nonsense and assertive with an island accent. She runs the resort and keeps everyone in check, but clearly cares about her employees, her customers, and J.D., an older island denizen. Great singer.
MALE CHARACTERS
- Tully: (Ideally 25-35 years old)
- Smooth-talking, self-deprecating playboy. He's completely content with the life he's chosen as the singer/bartender at a tropical resort, until he meets Rachel, a vacationer who upends his heart.
- Basic guitar skills are a plus
- Brick: (Ideally 25-35 years old)
- The Island bartender. Has a big heart and a good friend to Tully. Not the brightest bulb, but sensitive and thoughtful.
- Jamal: (African American 20s; able to use an island (Jamaican) accent)
- The Island bartender. Has a big heart and a good friend to Tully. Not the brightest bulb, but sensitive and thoughtful.
- J.D.: (70ish)
- A funny, endearing older man who always has a parrot on his shoulder. He's losing his vision and his hearing, but won't acknowledge it. A good-natured drunkard, he's always writing his memoirs on bar napkins and, as it turns out, he's lived a full life.
